Examples include when research is mentioned in the news or included in a policy quote. These metrics, collectively known as PlumX Metrics, are divided into five categories to help understand the large amounts of data involved and enable analysis by comparing like with like.


PlumX collects and aggregates research metrics appropriate for any scientific research output.

About DSpace PlumX MetricsCitations – This is a category that includes both traditional citation indexes, such as Scopus, and citations that help demonstrate societal impact, such as Clinical or Policy Citations.
